About storm-damage fence repair

After a storm the priority is usually to make the property secure again, then to repair properly. We assess what failed and why — a post that snapped, a panel that blew out, a section undermined by water — and write up the repair.

We can provide documentation of the damage and the repair scope for your own records. We do not handle insurance claims on your behalf and we do not advise on coverage.

Scope

What is included, and what to think about

Typical inclusions

  • On-site assessment of storm damage
  • Photographic record of affected sections
  • Written repair scope
  • Replacement of damaged posts, rails, pickets or gates as specified
  • Removal of damaged material from the work area

Practical considerations

Things that genuinely affect the work, said plainly before you commit.

  • Demand after a widespread storm affects scheduling and material availability.
  • Damage is sometimes more extensive than it appears from the surface.
  • We do not file, negotiate or advise on insurance claims.
  • Ground that is saturated may need to dry before posts can be reset.
