Cedar Fence Installation
Western red cedar fencing chosen for appearance and natural weather resistance.

About cedar fence installation
Cedar is a popular choice in Texas for its grain, colour and natural resistance to moisture and insects. Left untreated it weathers to a silver-grey; stained and sealed it holds a warmer tone for longer.
We will walk you through the grade options available at the time of your estimate and explain what each one means for appearance and cost.

Practical considerations
Things that genuinely affect the work, said plainly before you commit.
- Untreated cedar changes colour over time; this is normal weathering, not a defect.
- Cedar availability and grade vary by supplier and season.
- Staining is a separate service and is typically done after the wood has dried out.
- Knots, colour variation and small checks are natural characteristics of cedar.
Questions
Cedar Fence Installation: frequently asked
Not covered here? Ask us directly — we would rather answer it before you commit than after.
Should I choose cedar or pressure-treated pine?
Cedar is chosen mainly for appearance and its natural resistance to moisture and insects. Pressure-treated pine is treated to resist rot and insects and generally costs less. Both are valid choices; which is better depends on your budget, how the fence will look from the house, and how you plan to maintain it. We will talk through the trade-offs during your estimate.
